Issue: You may come across this after you upload a document to a Syngrafii Package, and when you navigate to the next section to template the document, you may see that the text in the document is distorted:
Cause: This issue occurs when the PDF is not properly rendered in the browser. Font corruption on your system may be one of the causes of display or rendering problems. Additionally, the graphics driver on the computer may have compatibility issues, or the display adapter may not support the proper acceleration profile, which can reduce performance rather than improve it.
Solution 1:
Fix for font corruption in your system:
- Go to the installed apps on the PC (Add or remove programs).
- Find Adobe Acrobat.
- Hit the 3 dots and select Modify.
- And then run Repair.
- Restart the PC. The PC must be restarted for the changes to take effect.
If Solution 1 does not resolve the issue, please proceed with Solution 2 below.
Solution 2:
- Update the Graphics driver on the computer.
- If the above fails, you can temporarily Disable Hardware Acceleration:
- Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click on the three vertical dots in the top-right corner of the Chrome window to open the menu.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down and click on Advanced to expand additional settings.
- Look for the System section.
- Toggle off the option that says Use hardware acceleration when available. This option is located under the System section.
- After toggling off hardware acceleration, restart Google Chrome for the changes to take effect.
- Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click on the Settings and more (Alt+F) 3 dots menu icon, and click on Settings.
- Click on System on the left side, and turn off Use hardware acceleration when available.
- Click on the Restart button to apply.
- Keep checking for an updated version of the graphics driver for your computer and once available, enable Hardware Acceleration back on your device.
