In some cases, the LongPen Driver Software (Quarc) license becomes corrupt (for example, if the system time has changed drastically) and needs to be re-registered manually.
Method 1
- Open Command Prompt as an Admin (right click and "Run as administrator")
- Type in: cd "Program Files\Quanser\QUARC"
- Run: quanser_license_registration.exe -d
-
Select both checkboxes and click on OK
- Browse to the location of the Quarc license file and select it. The current license file is called: 10794 QUARC Essentials Runtime_Syngrafii Inc.qlic. The license file will then get registered again.
Method 2
- Open Command Prompt as an Admin (right click and "Run as administrator")
- Type in: cd "Program Files\Quanser\QUARC"
- Run: quanser_license_registration -m -c -f "C:\LongPen\Quarc\10794 QUARC Essentials Runtime_Syngrafii Inc.qlic" -n localhost -p 16999 QUARC.
(The path of the license file needs to be replaced with the actual path.)
The Quarc license file has an .qlic extension. If you can’t find the file in any of the LongPen folders, please reach out to support@syngrafii.com for assistance.
