If your company has multiple LongPen machines set up at different locations and signings occur simultaneously, all logged-in connections will appear on all LongPens. The client will be connected to sign to whichever location initiates the signing.
For example, if you have LongPens at both location 1 and location 2 and are conducting signings at the same time, location 1 will be able to see the clients from location 2 in the LongPen Connection software.
There is a configuration option that allows you to change this behaviour:
- Shut down the LongPen software if running.
- Open the LongPen Config file located at: c:\LongPen\LongPenV1.7.x\config.ini.
- Look for the setting filter_location: False and change it to filter_location: True.
- Look for the setting longpen_location and ensure it has a location set (such as a City or Room Number)
- Save and close the config file.
- If you make this change, you will need to select the location of the LongPen from the Room drop-down menu when sending out LongPen signing links from the Syngrafii site. This ensures that only the invitations to the specific LongPen appear on the LongPen's PC software.
