- If powered off, turn on the LongPen and the LongPen laptop. The LongPen power switch is at the back on the left-hand side.
- Once you have logged into the LongPen laptop, you can double click on the Start LongPen icon on the Windows desktop; the LongPen will calibrate as follows: the arms stretch and the pen is tapped on the writing surface.
- Instruct the signer to click on the link that was sent to them via email or text message to log into the Syngrafii Web Application using their device. Once a user has successfully logged in, the Connection Server displays the information on the LongPen laptop screen.
- Load the document that needs a signature under the document holder of the LongPen and centre the area to be signed within the signing area.
- Once the document is loaded, you can start the signing session for the logged in signer by clicking on the Action button followed by the 'Start Signing' option.

- This begins the signing session and the signer will now be able to see and sign the document placed under the LongPen using their device. Once they sign on the device, the signer can either click on 'Send' to send the writing data or click on 'Clear' if they made a mistake and need to start over before sending the writing data.
- At any point in a signing session, you can give a signer ‘Viewer Only’ privileges so that they can see the document on their tablet, but cannot sign to it.
- Once all the documents have been signed, click on the Action button and click on 'Disconnect' in order to end the signing session and disconnect the signer.
